Postcard view of Branch Road looking north-east with Armley Road in the distance. On the right is the Malt Shovel Hotel, a Dutton's public house. On the left, after the junction with Beech Drive, is the Western Cinema, which opened on 25th April 1910 as Pictureland, changing its name to the Western in 1933. It closed on 26th May 1956 then re-opened as the New Western on 21st October 1957.
