Description:
c1950/1951. View from the top of St James's Church looking north-west showing the Council School in Crossley Street. The stone built school dates from 1916 and is nowadays known as Crossley Street Primary School. Crossley Street runs across the centre of the image and the school building is seen just left of centre.
