Undated. Postcard showing the grave and memorial to Ethel Preston situated in Lawnswood Cemetery. This grade II listed structure, dating from 1911, is of Italian marble and features a life-size statue standing under a classical porch, in front of partially open black marble doors, holding a bunch of flowers. Ethel Preston, who died on 24th March 1911 aged 50 years, was the wife of Walter Preston of The Grange, Beeston. The memorial is reputed to be a replica of the entrance to The Grange which has since been demolished.
