Pudsey Grangefield School, Richardshaw Lane, Pudsey
2000/2001 View of the Grade 2 listed building, Pudsey Grangefield School, formerly Pudsey Grammer School. At the time of the photograph it catered for pupils aged between 11 and 18 years. It was opened in January 1911 and designed by local architect, Jowett Kendall. The School achieved status as a college specialising in mathematics and computing. In 2008 pupils re-located to new £22 million premises in Mount Pleasant, a P.F.I. scheme. (Private, Finance, Initiative). The original edwardian building is to be sold for conversion to residential units.
