How well I remember this. Every week I went with my mum to the post office to buy a 6d post office savings stamp with my spending money. Outside the little fruit and veg shop sat a little black dog. Further up Taylor's Yard was a hairdressers where I had my hair permed for the first time, they burnt my head!

I too remember going to this lovely cute post office with my mum. Suck a shame alot of seacroft village demolished! On this post office site my husbands family home was built a row of semi detached houses. Opposite was the "new of the world" newsagents and chemist ~ i remember the chemist weight machine and chair! Loved getting my whistling lolly from there too when my mum had to get any prescriptions! Ah, memories!s
