Rider Road, looking towards Melville Place and Woodhouse Ridge
Description:
1970. Looking from Rider Road towards Melville Place where a gap in the housing leads to the main pedestrian access to Woodhouse Ridge and opens up a view of the Meanwood Valley beyond. On the left are nos.44 and 42 Melville Place and on the right no.40.

Mr Riley lived in the house on the right with no garden. If you went between the houses and down the steps on to the ridge then take the path to the whalfedales there was a bungalow that was his brothers. One of only two houses left on Ridge road I think it was called. A third Brother lived on Meanwood Road facing destructor's and at the back also backed on to woodhouse ridge.
