The shop with the name date was Allisons Butchers, I worked there on a saturday morning wrapping the meat sales I was 13yrs old and I earned 2/6 half a crown. I bought a post office savings stamp each week with it,this was to be used for my holiday spends. Allisons also had another shop in woodhouse street, I use to have to run down there if some of the stocks ran out. The date would have been 1961 I use to live just off Rider Road at 10 Hawes Mount lived there from 1956-1963 got very happy memories of living there.
