1970. View shows a derelict bowling green surrounded by a stone wall at the junction of Back Providence Avenue (left) and Pennington Terrace (right). Terraced housing is situated on both of these streets while St. Gabriel's Church can be seen in the centre background and the clock tower of Quarry Mount Primary School on the right.
