View shows the bottom of Well Close Road seen from Camp Road (now Oatland Lane). On the left is the corner shop of P. & M. Kershaw, newsagents and tobacconists, at no.141a Camp Road. Following on from this are terraced houses on Well Close Road in ascending order from no.1. On the right are more terraces in ascending order from no.4 Well Close Road. Two women stand on the corner and a car is seen on the road. A high percentage of old people were still living in the area but the houses were shortly to be demolished.
