c Late 1950s/early 1960s. Class photograph taken at Meanwood Road School between the late 1950s and early 1960s. The school was located on Meanwood Road (north-east side) next to the juncton with Education Road and Meanwood Road Corporation Baths. The young girls are arranged, some standing, some seated and some sitting cross-legged on the front row, with their smiling teacher in the centre. Meanwood Road School is now demolished.

This is our class photo taken in about 1959 to 1961,our class teacher was Mrs Chamberlain(nee Hillier)I can remember lots of faces and names of my class mates.I am 3rd from the left on the 2nd rowfrom the bottom and my best friend Marjorie Steward is the 1st left on the top row.Love to hear from anyone in this class.Happy times.

Hi Anne I remember this lady well, do you also remember Mrs Saddler, she was also a really nice teacher, can't say I didn't like any of them really though I didnt really get on with Mrs Wilson.
