I was born in Old Oak Garth in 1960 and spent many happy years growing up in a safe cul de sac with many more children than parents. My friend Susan Dell lived in these flats but not in that block. Uncle Arthur and Auntie Mary (Smith) lived in this block and despite not having children themselves used to open their home to us all. I moved across the road when my sister was born and my parents still live in that house now on spen approach. Happy times

Hi Karen, I lived on Butcher Hill, I played in the Garth, with John Longbottom, Gary Sanderson, John Walton, David Feeny, Barry Hogg and Albert Hanna, my mum worked in Fred Waterhouse and then the Post Office. I do remember Susan Dell, Uncle Arthur. many fond memories of Leeds 16.
