Old Oak Drive, looking towards Butcher Hill
Undated. View looking from the garden gate of a house on Old Oak Drive, through other gardens towards Butcher Hill where a row of shops, including a post office, numbered 179-185, can be seen.

The shops in the background are used in the B.B.C. drama 'The Syndicate' by Kay Mellor. The supermarket in the series where the lottery winners are employed, is in this block. In another of Kay Mellor's stories,'Fat Friends', the fish and chip shop on the opposite side of Butcher Hill was also used.
