1956. Group portrait of Ingram Road County Primary School intermediates. The football team are proudly wearing their full kit. A member of the team, John Cain, became captain in 1958. The old school, which stood at the junction of Brown Lane is now demolished and a P.F.I. school has been built on the site.

This is the intermediate school football team in which a few of us played under age at the time. If I can remember rightly,the names are as follows.Top row left to right,unknown,Trevor Medd, Stan Agar,David Barraclough,Brian Morgan.Centre Left to right,Ronnie MC-Coll,Colin Clevely,Dereck Fieldhouse (Captain),Bernard Stones,Ronnie Burnley Front row left to right,unknown,John Cain,David Carr.If anybody can help to fill in unknown names or any corrections please do.In later years I played against some of the lads in local amateur football leagues.

Hi Ken, Yes Ken we played in the same works team at Galway Smith Ltd in Holbeck,if you look at the other school football team I sent in you will notice David Cowling who also played in our works team.I will send in the photograph of the works team.Happy memories playing football,keep well.

The player on the back row on the left is John Green. The player on the front row on the left is William (Bill) Roach. Bill married my cousin Kathleen Hamilton and they now live in Spain. I spoke to Bill last week about this photo and he could remember all the players in this photo. Bill lived in the Danubes near to Ingram Road's home pitch, the 'Lemmy'
