Blenheim Council School, Maypole Dancing
May 1947. Image shows one of the young boy and girl pupils of Blenheim Council School taking part in a Maypole dance. In 1947, the year the photograph was taken, Beatrice Vint was Mistress of the infants, William Mawson was Master of the boys and Kate May Rogers was Mistress of the girls. The school is located in Blenheim Walk and the houses in the background behind the high brick wall, are possibly in the Churchills.
