Lion and Lamb, York Road, demolition
Description:
2006. View of York Road showing the Lion and Lamb public house boarded up and about to be demolished to make way for a new Aldi supermarket. This pub was named the Seacroft Hotel when built c1959 but later took the name of the former public house next door. The original Lion and Lamb building, which dates from c1884, still stands and is now listed. Image courtesy of Leslie Cole.
