Lion and Lamb, York Road, demolition
2006. View shows demolition taking place of the Lion and Lamb public house, situated on York Road by the junction with Barwick Road. This pub was originally built c1959 as the Seacroft Hotel and had recently undergone a transformation from a notorious trouble spot to a friendly local thanks to landlady Barbara Forrest but this couldn't prevent it from being pulled down. It is now the site of an Aldi supermarket. Image courtesy of Leslie Cole.
