Description:
Summer 1955. Image shows pupils of Blenheim County Secondary School in Blenheim Walk in the recently converted school library. There are a number of tables for reading and study and two boys are engrossed in a game of chess. The library contained around 1600 books and half of these were non-fiction. Sporting trophies, including a shield, are on display on top of the shelving.
