Flowers for Leeds Competition, Coldcotes Junior Girls
1951. Image shows Mr. W.A. Smith, one of the judges of the Flowers For Leeds Competition, talking to young gardeners in the fourth-form of Coldcotes Junior Girls' School. The girls had worked hard on their garden and won a first prize of £2 and the Robert Barr trophy for the school in the Young People's Gardens section (Class 25) of the competition. Coldcotes Junior Girls' School was located in Thorn Walk.
