View shows Langbar Towers, a block of high-rise flats situated on Swarcliffe Avenue, in the early stages of demolition with the top having been removed. Langbar Towers was one of a total of 11 residential tower blocks built on the Swarcliffe estate in the mid-1960s; all except one were demolished in the 2000s, leaving Sherburn Court as the only one remaining.
