Description: January 2001.
View shows Manston Towers in the early stages of demolition. This block of high-rise flats situated off Eastwood Lane was one of eleven built on the Swarcliffe estate in the mid-1960s. All but one were pulled down in the 2000s. Ash Tree Court, just visible on the right, was one of those demolished in 2006. Image courtesy of Leslie Cole.
