Swarcliffe Towers, demolition
January 2001. View looking from Eastwood Drive towards Swarcliffe Towers by the junction with Swarcliffe Avenue. This block of high-rise flats is in the early stages of demolition, with windows and doors having been removed. Two other tower blocks can be seen on the right; these are Brayton Grange and possibly Langbar Grange behind. Like Swarcliffe Towers, they wre built in the 1960s and they too would be demolished in the 2000s. Image courtesy of Leslie Cole.
