Looking from near Swarcliffe Avenue towards the Staging Post public house and behind that two tower blocks, Langbar Grange in the centre and Sherburn Court on the left. Both these blocks of flats were built in 1966; Langbar Grange was shortly to be demolished, one of the last of 10 blocks that were pulled down in the 2000s, but Sherburn Court off York Road remains, having been refurbished with a new roof, windows and lifts.
