October 2003. View shows Ash Tree Grange off Swarcliffe Avenue in the early stages of demolition. This 12-storey block of high-rise flats was built in 1965 and reached a height of 36 metres; a crane with a long reach is needed to hack away at the top floors. Image courtesy of Leslie Cole.
