October 2003. View shows demolition in progress of Ash Tree Grange, a residential tower block off Swarcliffe Avenue. It had been completed in 1965 and consisted of 12 storeys reaching a height of 36 metres. A huge crane is needed to reach the top of the building as it was not possible to blow it up due to the closeness of other properties. Image courtesy of Leslie Cole.
