Description:
c1894. View of the Alpine Garden at Cookridge Tower, a nineteenth century residence located off Hospital Lane, near Otley Old Road. The house was originally called Cookrdige Lodge and was built c1861 by architect, surveyor and land agent, James Fox. Later resident, Alfred Wilberforce Sykes, built an extension in the form of a single storey tower to house the family's billiard room and the house was renamed Cookridge Tower. The site is now occupied by housing in Ireland Crescent.
