Leopold Street, cleared area
1971. View looking from Frankland Place showing a cleared area where houses on the even-numbered side of Leopold Street have recently been demolished (to the right-hand-side of the cleared land). Large terraced houses remain on the odd-numbered side of Leopold Street, seen at the right edge. Leopold Road runs in front of the buildings on the left. In the background, left, are properties numbered from 87 to 101 Barrack Road. The buildings on the skyline showing chimneys and roof gables are part of the Chapeltown Cavalry Barracks on Barrack Road. The road running through the centre background where a car can be seen is Hamilton Place.
