Description:
1965. In this image two small boys are seated on the bumper of a Volkswagon car, outside number 9 Kellett Terrace. Kellett Terrace is part of an estate built by Hall and Dudley in 1955. The estate is situated on a site between Whitehall Road and Dixon Lane. A brick wall curves round the semi-detached house and over the wall are properties in Kellett Drive, built at a lower level.

I was the owner of this house from 1955 untill 1965 when I left U.K. for a job down under,when I bought the house it was one thousand seven hundred and fifty pounds, I had to brick in the part under the window as it had started rotting after a few years. The drive that the Volkswagon is sitting on was laid by my wife Anne and I it took four cubic yards to do the job. At this point in time I was the manager of a paint shop at a W.V. distributors on Regent St. That's my son Grahame and his school pall sat on the bumper.
