Duncan Street
Description:
2012. View from the south side of Duncan Street showing the junction with Briggate, a main shopping street running north. After the junction with Briggate Duncan Street becomes Boar Lane, far left. The red brick building, at the corner of Briggate and Boar Lane, is occupied by a branch of McDonald's. The crane, seen left, is working on the construction site of the new shopping centre, Trinity Leeds, due to open in the Spring of 2013.

Comment:
Yet another example of multi-faceted Old Leeds. Let's hope that "The Powers That Be" have got enough sense and foresight to protect and preserve these buildings for future generations to enjoy, and not let them be devoured by the greedy jaws of seemingly insatiable so called development.
