Description: July 2012.
View of Low Hall Mills located in Low Hall Place. The junction of Low Hall Place is adjacent to number 25 Holbeck Lane. In this recent view the mills are looking derelict with many broken window panes. The buildings date from 1874 and there is a datestone above the arched entrance to this effect. The Post Office Directory dating from 1882 lists Low Hall Mills as the premises of woollen and union cloth manufacturer, John Whitehead. He also had premises at number 41 Park Place and his residence was at number 44 Spencer Place. In recent times the mills had been occupied by S.P.M. (Selby Plumber's Merchants Ltd.)
