1954. View of Leeds Civic Hall taken in 1954. The cars on the left are parked in Calverley Street. More cars are parked in Portland Crescent, right, where old property is visible. The higher roofline at the right edge is that of the Gaumont Cinema in Portland Crescent. In the background, immediately to the right of the Civic Hall, is old red brick property numbered 30, left and 28, right Portland Crescent. These properties stand at the junction with Portland Gate.

I think that I am correct in saying that the tallest building at the right hand edge of the photograph is the rear of "The Gaumont Picture House" which fronted onto Cookridge Street. Can anyone confirm this?
