Description:
Early 1950s. Portrait of employees of the wholesale wine and spirit merchants, Gale Lister & Co. Ltd., located on the south-west side of The Calls at number 2, adjacent to the junction with Warehouse Hill. From left to right they are; Ray Thornton, (Foreman of the beer bottling department), Ernest Young (Driver), Jimmy Kelly? (Driver for T.G. Porter & Co. which was part of Gale Lister & Co. Ltd.) and George Clark (Driver's Mate). The photograph was taken outside the Tonbrige Street shop/garage at number 105.
