27th September 1915. A group of children pose for the camera in front of an outside toilet block at the end of a row of terraced housing, while more rows of housing are seen on either side. Arundel Street is to the left while Gledhow Road is on the right. An advert for J.F. Allanson, undertaker and funeral furnisher, of 118 Roundhay Road, showing a horse-drawn funeral carriage, is seen on the wall of the toilet block. Washing lines are hung across the streets at both sides.
