c late 1960s. View shows the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey seen from the south. Behind the wall on the left are the remains of the malthouse and bakehouse, formerly the Lay Brothers' Lane. The area in the centre was the refectory while towards the right was the entrance to the novices' quarters. People are sitting on a bench beside the path in front.
