Queen Street, Morley

Queen Street, Morley
May 1938. View of Queen Street, looking north. On the right can be seen Morley Picture House, showing "Keep Fit" starring George Formby, followed by the premises of Samuel S Clegg, pawnbroker, and the then recently built shop of Montague Burton outfitters. On the left are, the Methodist Sunday School Building, Boots the Chemist, also recently built, and the top of Morley Town Hall. Smoke from a mill chimney, probably Prospect Mill, can be seen in the centre.
