Cross Keys Inn, Britannia Road, drawing
Description:
Undated. This is an artist's impression of the Cross Keys Inn on Britannia Road in the early 19th century. According to William Smith in his book "Morley, Ancient and Modern" (1886), there had been a place of refreshment on the site for many centuries, but the building seen here was demolished and replaced in 1904 by the building which still stands today (2018). Photograph from the David Atkinson Archive.
