Town Street, looking north-west towards Well Lane
Description:
March 1980. View from Town Street (which continues to the left), looking north-west towards Well Lane (centre). On the left is a sign for the Nags Head public house which is just off the picture. The Chapel Allerton Methodist Church can be seen ahead, while on the right of Well Lane, by the junction with Hawthorn Road, is the Chapel Allerton Social Institute; both of these buildings were derelict at the time. On the far right is the edge of the Methodist Youth and Community Centre in the former Sunday School building.
