View shows the Recorder of Leeds (Geoffrey Veale Esq. QC) being presented to HM Queen Elizabeth II on her arrival at Leeds City Station. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, seen on the left, were on a two-day visit to the city, in which they attended the celebrations of the Centenary of the Leeds Triennial Musical Festival as well as visiting Leeds University, various factories and an old people's hostel.
