View shows HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, along with the Queen's cousin, The Earl of Harewood, in the foyer of Leeds Town Hall where they were attending a concert as part of the Leeds Centenary Musical Festival. Lord Harewood (George Lascelles, the 7th Earl) was Director-General of the Leeds Triennial Musical Festival at the time. This classical music festival had first been held 100 years previously in 1858, though it was not until 1874 that the second festival took place. After that, it was held triennially until 1970.
