Haigh House, Rothwell Haigh
Description:
Undated. View shows Haigh House, seen from the main entrance on the west side of Wakefield Road. The house was built by the Fenton family, coal mine and quarry owners, who brought from America the first set of jaw bones to be sited at the entrance to the house. The bones were later moved to their current location on nearby Wood Lane.
