Undated. View shows the old forge at no. 118 Lower Town Street, which was operated for many years by the Sowden family. Jeremiah Sowden had moved to Bramley in 1830 to set up a business as a blacksmith and farrier; the business was subsequently continued by his son Joseph Samuel Sowden and later by his grandson Jerry Sowden.
