Description:
1974. View shows part of the first annual Lord Mayor's Parade, with a horse-drawn float promoting Samuel Smith's Brewery in the foreground. The parade is travelling along The Headrow, passing the Municipal Buildings and Art Gallery on the left, with Permanent House on the right at the junction with Cookridge Street. It had started out from Woodhouse Moor and would finish up at the Civic Hall to be greeted by the Lord Mayor.
