Whitehall Road
16th August 1948. ew of junction with Gelderd Road. On the left is the junction with Kildare Terrace with stone sets in road. Main feature is the Victorian brick Whitehall Road council school, with wrought iron railings set in a stone wall around the playground.Small petrol station in the background.

The school was used by the Leeds College of Building during the 1990's and was then converted into offices by the Councils Architects in 1997 who retained much of the external features of this building. It has remained the head office of the Councils Architectural Design until this day (2007).

Ron Davies

This was also one of the buildings dotted around the city once used by Thomas Danby College. I think hairdressing, catering and nursery nursing were some of the subjects taught at the college.
