Description:
18th February 1953. hoto looks down to Wynford Avenue. Road is rough dirt and rubble with a manhole cover in the foreground. Some detached houses and semi detached houses on left and right.

This was the view I had from my bedroom window,I remember the old gas light and telephone pole well. The manhole was where we had the street bonfire every year!
