Eccup Lane Bridge, flood damage
9th April 1947. View of a damaged stone wall at the side of Eccup Lane Bridge. The beck on the far side of the bridge is Eller Beck and it changes here to Eccup Beck as it passes under the bridge. The stone building in the distance, right, is Brookland Farm and there is a stone built property across Eccup Lane to the left of the image. The damage to the bridge was most likely due to the floods which occurred in 1946, the first major flooding event since 1866 in the Leeds area.
