Description:
15th September 1948.View of south wall of open air bath of coursed gritstone and bath house. There is a commemorative plaque near gabled entrance set in stone wall saying 'Hoc faecit Edwardus Waddington de Gleadhowe annovae domini 1671'. This is a grade 2 listed building. The plaque is set above the plunge bath.

The Gipton Spa Bath House (locally known as roman baths) have been vandalised in the past and even had the yorkshire stone roof stolen! The Friends Of Gledhow Valley Woods & Leeds City Council are appealing for a lottery fund to protect & restore the 300 year-old building so it can still be standing for another generation!
