Description:
15th September 1948.Open air baths built 1671 in gritstone with a 3 metre square plunge bath. Photo shows the gabled bath house with door leading to the stone steps in the pool from the south-east side. A stone plaque built into the wall says it was constructed by Edward Waddington of Gledhow in 1671.
