SWILLINGTON MILL, Bullerthorpe Lane - - - 3238 - - - The image shown here is very different to the one visible today. The foreground here, is now a car-park. The area behind this derelict mill, boasts a Hotel, and a complex of 'Fast Food' Outlets'. The good news is, that the mill which became 'listed' in 1970, has more or less survived intact, in as much as the tower, the house etc., are now integrated as someone's home. Further good news is, that albeit surrounded by modernity, it still sits on an expanse of greenery.
