User Comments:

Rob Richmond

My great-grandfather, Albert Jones, rented Gledhow Mount in the late 19th century; his desire for a large house doubtless influenced by his large Victorian family. My great aunt Rosa used to talk of the long carriage drive up the hill to the house, and learning to ride a bicycle in the hall. I would be interested to know if anyone has old photos of the house and its grounds which have now disappeared beneath the Roxholme estate.
