25th June 1955. View shows semi-detached houses on Austhorpe Lane, running in ascending order from no. 123 on the left. Telegraph poles are visible. Austhorpe Hall is just off the picture beyond the stone wall to the right.

Is this the top of Appleyard's Hill, with Austhorpe Hall behind the stone wall to the right of the picture? Man, how it has changed in fifty years.
