I don't think that many will disagree that Regency/Georgian architecture has beautifully clean lines. It always looks good. There was another good feature about it. The architects seemed to make sure that there was always plenty of space around their major buildings. If you look at old Regency prints, ( there are some on this site ), you will see what I mean. Unfortunately, Leeds has lost most of its Regency heritage to so called progress. Perhaps it should be ashamed of itself. However, there is one nearby town that has retained quite a lot. Wakefield should be proud of itself.
